LIDO events before and during the CIDOC 2023 Conference

• September 24 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (America/Mexico City = 18:30-20:30 CEST) LIDO Terminology (online) [Slides]
  LIDO v1.1 recommends the use of LIDO Terminology for selected LIDO elements and attributes. In the session, the current status of the significantly extended LIDO Terminology will be presented and discussed. The integration and extension of LIDO Terminology in the context of LIDO application profiles will be demonstrated usingthe following examples:
  • “Exhibition Object Data Exchange Model” (EODEM) [Slides]
  • “Collections from Colonial Contexts”, a portal in the German Digital Library [Slides]
• September 14 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (America/Mexico City = 16:30-19:30 CEST) LIDO Introduction (online)
  For all those interested, a free LIDO Introduction will be held online in the run-up to the CIDOC 2023 Conference. The three-hour LIDO training session will introduce the metadata schema LIDO (Lightweight Information Describing Objects) and illustrate it with examples.

LIDO events during CIDOC 2021/2022 Conference

• May 22 14:00 – 15:30 (EET) LIDO v1.1 [Slides]
  In this session updates on the LIDO development will be given and discussed: Since the last CIDOC conference further work has been carried out in particular with the related LIDO Terminology and in terms of quality assurance of LIDO datasets. Additional material will be presented together with the final release of LIDO v1.1.
• May 22 16:00 – 17:30 (EET) LIDO Profiles [Slides]
  Recently, several LIDO profiles have been developed, such as the genre-specific LIDO profile “Painting and Sculpture” or the LIDO application profile “EODEM”. In this session, the current status of the development of LIDO profiles will be presented and possibilities for collaboration in the development of further LIDO profiles will be discussed.
• May 24 16:00 – 17:30 (EET) Linked Art and LIDO [Slides]
  In this session the state of work of the Linked Art WG and the LIDO WG concerning the adoption of LIDO data to Linked Art is presented and possible future ways of collaboration of the WGs are discussed.
