The CIDOC Training Association assumes responsibility for the management and development of CIDOC’s vocational training programme.

Intended both for experienced museum personnel and for newcomers to the field, this comprehensive programme brings together established experts – members of CIDOC and university faculty – with professionals seeking guidance and training in the theory and practice of Museum Documentation. Training events take place annually, at different locations, in English and other languages.
During the global COVID pandemic, the association had to cancel a series of events and is looking at a re-start of its on-site training activities in the season 2023/2024.

Widening the online offering, selected course modules are available for remote access. The association seeks at combining free access introductory webcasts with accompanied in-depth study modules for registered users.
